Resumen

This is a report of a inquisitive nature, about the migration and professional orientation of women in the Amazon . It proposes a discussion of what women think, about living in Porto Velho , especially the ones that made the pre-matrimonial migration the 1980's and also the High School students that are making their professional choices, by choosing to go to a four-year college, considered as The representatives of the Amazon's future. We approached the subject through the English Way that actually migrant descendants are going by. We talked about the tribulations of the students' decisions. We addressed the Empty nest syndrome that women, mothers of the young High school students, are suffering. It intended to discover women's vocation from this context. Migration movements bring in its capacity the construction of something material, affectionate and economic. These aspects of migration were determinant to the work on this report. The report had no intention of draining the theme, actually it tried to identify through the women that live in an agricultural border zone, the Amazon's occupational expectations, the problems concerning the college's demands and vocational demand of the region and the courses what women are choosing, nowadays. The most relevant factors that are influencing the decision of the Professional course in the Brazilian Amazon. This way, we tend to an evaluation proposal when it comes to offering courses for the University of Rondônia , defining the singularity of this research work, characterizing the peculiarity of report research. The theme has been taken for granted by Brazilian researchers, that did not reflect about the thoughts, objectives, desires and ways traveled across by Amazon people women yet, in search to fulfill their lack ness. We will going to look the woman in her diverse social characters, discussing ambiguities and advances, undertaking a theoretical debate between Sociology, Anthropology, History, Psychology and Psychoanalysis. Analyzing a couple of interposed challenges to their human development.A theoretical-logical model of actions oriented the methodology mixing the qualified research and the quantified research obtained through two tools: open interview and questionnaire. In the qualified method it put to use the interview. Demonstration was constituted by 25 women, between 29 to 52 years old, inhabitants of Porto Velho city. The individual interviews that were taken, were about the life histories of these women, identifying what they think about living in the Amazon; their wishes, dreams and expectations about the family; orientation given to their children about studying in the Amazon. In the quantified method it put to used the questionnaire. Demonstration was constituted by students, between 17 to 20 years old, from all schools of the Public and Private Education System from Porto Velho city, of High School's third grades that study during morning period. Questions were inquiring personal, psychosocial data and factors of the professional choice, and consequently of the Superior degree. From these answers were analyzed the quantifying indicatives that pointed to the currently professional tendency of the women in The Amazon; factors that infused to Superior degree's choice; relation between mother's profession and course choice in university entries test; relation between the region where parents were born and region elected to study.It was intended with this report to propose an intervention, in the community, to attend the research demand, in a partnership action with all involved been.
