Abstract

The Faculty of Business Administration of Universidad Pablo de Olavide started its adaptation to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) in the academic year 2005/2006 by launching a Pilot Experience for the implementation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) in the first academic year of the Degree in Business Administration and Management. From this year onwards, this Pilot Experience Programme was extended progressively to all upcoming courses. Econometrics is a subject scheduled for the fourth course of the Degree and consequently, it was affected by the new Pilot Experience in the academic year 2008/2009. This paper describes the main features that characterize the system, and evaluating and teaching methodology of the subject Econometrics under the new framework referred above, highlighting particularly the academic results achieved by the students as a result of the ECTS related innovations that were carried out.
