Abstract

We briefly present here the results of the last two archaeological campaigns carried out in the Palazzo area of Villa Adriana. The first one, in September 2014, was focused in the excavation of the stibadium of Palazzo. A well-known structure and already exploited in the middle of the last century –although with hardly any useful documentation to analyse– and that becomes one of the most important models to understand the creation and development of these types of buildings. On the other hand, the second campaign (April-May 2015), was focused on the study on the small opposite side of the same port where the stibadium is, creating several rooms, most of which were initially paved in opus sectile and organized around a double central space.
