Abstract
After a synthetic reflection on the concepts of space, territory and landscape, the importance of the power relationship between scientific-technical knowledge and local knowledge in defining landscape narratives is addressed. It shows how environmental regulations in Los Alcornocales Natural Park (Andalusia) protect certain landscape resources, obscuring the representations and perceptions of local agrarian collectives. Finally, a journey is made through some milestones, perceptions and assessments of these local groups, pointing out other ways of understanding the lived landscape, thereby discussing the management carried out in recent decades in the southern most cork oak grove in the Iberian Peninsula.
