Resumo

This paper analyses the perception that initial training teacher has on the use of online games and their implications in skills development. Through pequejuegos playful platform, it is possible to use online games to understand the possibilities to develop skills and abilities in early childhood. To do this we used the instrument designed by Del Moral and Villalustre (2012) Assessment of Skills Developed with Video (IE-HADEVI). This instrument has been implemented to students of Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education that have been used online games. We considered that we can apply this questionnaire because online games are multimedia tools which share many common characteristics with videogames. The questionnaire was answered by students in the second course of Bachelor Degree of Early Childhood Education during 2014/2015 course at the University of Extremadura. Data focused to know and analyze skills development related to take decision, interpersonal relationship, psychomotricity, attention and retention of information. Data were analyzed with a quantitative analysis software SPPS (version 18). The results evidence that skills studied were a chieved in a high value. To sum up, this study show evidences that online games allow substantially improve decision-making, interpersonal relationship, psychomotricity, attention and retention of information, and enhance skills of students at Early Childhood Education. These are basic skills that teachers should develop in class during this stage in order to achieve the comprehensive development of students at Early Childhood Education that Spanish regulation said.
