This article analyzes the results of regional elections in Andalusia (Spain) held on 25 March 2012. Our reflection will try to offer some explanations about why the surveys predicted an absolute majority to the Conservative party (PP) that did not happen. Thus, the Socialist party (PSOE), after two successive electoral defeats during 2011, it has been outdone by the PP but this time, recovering part of its political weight. Finally, United Left (IU) would become, after the elections of 2012, the force that rose up more support looking over the 2008 regional elections. The need to take into account the electoral behavior patterns of each territory and its internal distribution in geographical terms is essential to provide a proper opinion forecast. However, the results was also quite unexpected by the events taking place related to the electoral process and the political context during the campaign.
