Zusammenfassung
The present article is result of a research realized in the framework of the Research Group of Comparative Education of Seville, with the intention ol studying the role granted to the woman across the illustrations, in the textbooks corresponding to the areas of knowledge of the natural, social and cultural way; Castilian language and literature, as well as mathematics of the cycle of primary education. With the analysis of the role of the woman and the man in the manuals, we can know not only the ideas, the values or the latent attitudes in a society, but in addition the form in which the knowledge is transmitted in the classrooms both to children and to girls. The textbooks appear as well as invisible mechanisms across which they appear and are reinforced inequalities. In these moments the illustrations gathered in the textbooks must be sufficiently representative of the social changos that are produced in the different contexts.
