Resum

Background: Creation of digital storytelling has been promoted in educational environments because of its contribution to the development of multiple competences. This work analyses the educational impact of CINEMA project (2014-2015), based on the collaborative creation of digital storytelling, involving 6 schools and 282 pupils. Method: At the end, its contribution to the development of creative, narrative, digital and socio-emotional competences were evaluated. Three dimensions were analysed: 1) educational and creative process: didactic aims, teaching strategies, digital tools and audiovisual techniques; 2) narrative structure: setting of the story, role of narrator and characters, dramatic elements, emotional content and value of audiovisual resources, and 3) educational impact: competences promoted and achievements. Results: the didactic strategies promoted cooperative work in the creation of digital storytelling and boosted creativity and narrative competence. Fourteen stories were created, including adaptations of tales as well as original stories. They utilized stop motion technique and photomontage, and were voiced and set by the children, finally resulting in original productions expressing emotions and feelings. Conclusions: This innovative project promoted narrative competence in Web 2.0 and fostered digital literacy in the students and teachers involved.
