Résumé

This paper analyses the environmental pressure of food imports in Spain between 1995 and 2007. Three environmental indicators are used: food imports (tones), emissions of CO2-eq (tones of CO2-eq) and food miles (km). The analysis is done by means of transport (air, rail, road and ship transport) and by countries for the 10 groups of products of the division of "food and live animals" of the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) of United Nations with public statistic of International Trade from the free access DataComex database.
