Abstract
When editing and translating Martial's text, there has always been a problem with those epigrams considered morally compromising. This paper analyses the ways in which this matter is dealt with in a Spanish edition published in Zaragoza en 1629, and how subsequent modern translators have rendered the epigrams into Spanish.
