Abstract

With the present study we want to show the works by the painters, gilders and engravers who worked for the factory of the parish church of Santa María de la Asunción de Écija during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. For the development of this work we have consulted the books of factory accounts and stewardship that have been preserved in the parish archive, as well as other bibliographic sources which partially collect the works of some craftsmen who worked in the city of Écija over the first two centuries. This study is only an anticipation, since in the future we intend to extend this compendium of craftsmen of the parish of Santa Maria to the rest of the parishes and convents in Écija.
