Preventiac®, una aplicación basada en la técnica sociométrica para la prevención del acoso escolar

The sociometrica technique has become a key tool to fight against bullying because by utilizing few personal and material resources, a wide range of information is obtained, with the possibility of determining students at risk. From the conviction that we must act in a proactive way to this problem we present this application that performs the calculation of the main sociometric parameters, indexes and individual values and group indices, obtained from elections, rejection, perception of elections and perception of rejection of students. The program Preventiac® also allows to establish three levels of severity or concern in which students are classified in the typology of rejected, and also offers three levels for the typology of popular. This classification level is based on the combination of the individual indices of antipathy, popularity and sociometric status presented. Also in the development of this chapter the program operation is explained in detail, which ends with the analyzed presentation of key information after the generation of the group report. Among the conclusions is the fact that it is an easy to use application for teachers, designed to generalize its use in the centers of compulsory education, to deepen the knowledge of the students and to prevent bullying because it provides relevant information in the social relations of students.
