Resumen
This work's goal is the confrontation, in a comparative study, of different ways of approaching the topic of national identity from two different theoretical traditions: the Piagetian and the Vigotskian. For dealing with this aim we used a sample of 48 persons from 7 to 14 years old. 32 of them were scholariced children, and 16 of them didn=t use to assist to school. A clinic interview was applied. This interview treated the clasic themes from the Piagetian perspective in the study of national identity. In the case of scholariced children, they were asked to write a composition about their belonging feelings. Results obtained take us to point narrative mode of thinking as the base on which our explanations of social world are built, in detriment of paradigmatic mode of thinking.
