Abstract

In Argentina, from the second half of the decade of 1990, important mutations are observed in the field of the political contest. The hypothesis of the article is that the phenomenon of popular struggle qualifies as a «cycle of protest». In this article one discusses about the analytical methodological implications of assuming the concept of cycle of protest. Besides, it proposes a way of operacionalizating this concept and measuring the contentious Argentine episode.
