Abstract
In this paper we present the results of the first archaeological excavation carried out in the "Teatro Greco" of Villa Adriana. In this first works the studies have been centred specially in the excavation of a trench located in the orchestra, which coincide with the axis of the building. The results of the archaeological excavation and the study of the conserved structures of the monument, have allowed to obtain a quite complete and global vision of the building and its relations with its surrounding environment.
