Abstract
In the present paper, a taxonomic, ecologic and chorologic study of Carex furva Webb, compared to C. lachenalii Schkuhr, is presented. The first chromosome counts of the Iberian species are published, and the presence of C. lachenalii in the Iberian Península is rejected.
