Resumen

Como resultado de cambios sociales y políticos, las presiones institucionales para la conciliación de la vida profesional y personal sobre los empleadores en el contexto español se han intensificado. Este trabajo analiza cómo es percibida por las empresas la presión institucional para la conciliación de sus trabajadores, relacionándola con variables personales de los directivos, como son el cargo, el género, la edad, el estado civil, el número de hijos menores, las personas dependientes a su cargo, así como el sector en el que opera la empresa. Los marcos teóricos utilizados son la Teoría Institucional para identificar el tipo de presión percibida, y la Teoría Upper Echelons para vincular y justificar la diferente percepción de las presiones a las características personales de los directivos. Los resultados confirman la existencia de dichas presiones y que resulta relevante la consideración del género, estado civil y el cargo de los directivos. También se refleja la influencia del sector en la percepción de las presiones instituciones.
