Reaching a situation in which gender studies form a constituent part of the EHEA, requires the development of educational methodologies or resources to integrate gender studies knowledge into the student´s academic reality. Gender transversality consists of incorporating some of these elements into the disciplines taught, with the aim of approaching the subject content from a much fairer and more egalitarian perspective. Similarly, the Service Learning pedagogical approach can combine this knowledge with the students´ social reality, since this method has been demonstrated to have a much more solid practical application than may initially have been thought, and moreover, is viable in any country within the European context.
