Abstract

Mediation is not an aim, is a medium. A method of treatment and management of those conflicts concerning the human beings. Therefore, if we talk about conflicts, they are something inherent and intrinsic to become vital to all persons, groups and society. For families, as in other social areas, the conflict can be useful as a learning and development process, in which each member learns to understand the others, and to understand himself in relation to the rest of the family system. The process of mediation becomes more incisive and necessary for the stability of families and their members in those contexts in which social and economic inequalities implies even more serious situations of imbalance and instability. Mediation can and must develop skills, knowledge and learnings, and above all a new way to establish stability in all kinds of conflicts, like community media, social, and / or family.
