Abstract
This paper presents for the first time in Spain a Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) with the energy sector disaggregated including five branches of renewable energy. For its construction has been used information from the National Statistics Institute - Input-Output Framework, National Accounts, Household Budget Survey, Environmental Accounts - which was supplemented by information from various sources (Paper on Energy, Annual Energy Consumption, Public Bank of Environmental Indicators). We believe this database may be useful to researchers to model the Spanish energy sector and the problems associated with issues as crucial as energy dependence, efficiency and CO2 emissions.
