Abstract

This article outlines a feminist revision of emerging paradigms like Degrowth or Buen Vivir. It suggests a dialogue between philosophical and political alternatives to escape from the dominant ideology and build an economy for living with concrete proposals in which egalitarian and harmonious relations between women, men and nature are established. We will use the Sustainability of life approach, as the appropriate framework to locate life care in the center of the model, because is closely related to a) the reproduction of life at conditions of equality and justice for all human beings; b) the elimination of economistic, patriarchal and individualist biases of the care. Finally, in order to overcome divisions and propose a more comprehensive view of sustainability, the feminist perspective of Sustainability of life is enriched by the contributions of Degrowth and Buen Vivir, discussing the Sustainability of human and non-human life. This proposal will integrate the human interdependence, the eco-dependent relationships, the care of nature and others species as subjects of rights, transforming the hegemonic socio-environmental paradigm.
