Abstract
The aim of this article is to show how the acquisition of educational capital has become an important social reproduction strategy within the working class. Through an analytical examination of surveys covering the last five decades, we can observe changes in working class parent´s attitudes and practices regarding school as well as how these are more and more similar to those of families of other social classes. The increase in the level of educational attainment, early education, their aspirations regarding their children´s education or the greater involvement in schoolwork, are some of the dimensions that will be used to measure this evolution.
