Abstract

Write the abstract here (between 150 and 200 words). In recent decades, tourism demand has undergone a series of changes and transformations that affect not only the tourism destinations on offer and in demand, but also the forms, models, ways and styles of travelling. In sport tourism, the paddle tennis tourism is calling for a real alternative to traditional tourism models, such as that of sun-and-sand vacations, and is giving way to an emerging demand of active tourism in which tourists are lured by dynamic physical-recreational activities. This paper tries to contribute to the sport tourism literature by focusing on a specific sport as paddle tennis. Hence, the objectives of this work are to identify the socio-economic characteristics of paddle tennis tourist and to measure the satisfaction achieved during the experience. To do this, a questionnaire was sent to a sample of 141 tourists from a sport event held in a hotel of Islantilla (Spain). Several interesting findings were obtained.
