Abstract

We currently have numerous applications related to Web 2.0 and they offer in education new spaces for communication and collaboration as well as to create communities of shared knowledge and learning networks. This paper presents an innovative experience developed at the University Pablo de Olavide of Seville with 2.0 digital technology and is performed within the research entitled: “Teaching innovation 2.0 with Technology and Communication in the European Higher Education Area”, within the framework of Action 2 of Innovation and Educational Development Projects funded by the Vice-Chancelor for Teaching and European convergence from the mentioned uni versity. The experience has been developed with the students of the subjects of Education and Health Promotion, Faculty of Social Sciences. The study began in the 2008/2009 academic year and developed courses in the other post until now, coming to participate in the academic year 2013/2014, 60 students of the Grade in Social Education. Among the educational goals of the experience we want to emphasize: promoting the leading role of the university student as a catalyst and facilitator of knowledge, use of blogs as a teaching resource as well as develop a space for reflection on various topics treated in the subject. In conclusion the study it was found that blogs are easy to make and use, have favored the active role of students plus they are an important resource for the training of students and an educational tool to disseminate knowledge and educational experiences.
