Zusammenfassung

In the present article we take a tour of the list of passenger to the West Indies, who originated from Almonte in the 16th century, by studying the documentary sources kept in the the General Archive of the Indies. The information anoted in these lines provides substantial information relevant to reconstructing the biographies of all the Almontenses who, without rank or paying jobs, embarked on an adventure to America in search of work, fortune and a better life.
