Zusammenfassung
This year of 2018 we celebrate the centenary of the birth of the academician Juan Infante Galán, who was an eminent researcher of the second half of the 20th century. He was a manifest devotee of the Virgen del Rocío through his link with the Matriz de Nuestra Señora del Rocío de Almonte Brotherhood. In this paper, we rebuild his biography through the documentation that is kept in his archive, which reflects the experiences of the Spanish Civil War and his determined vocation to devote himself to research. His documentary legacy, which was donated by his sister Isabel to the Mother Brotherhood, is currently inventoried. This donation was the starting point to begin the organization of the documentary collections that the Mother Brotherhood conserves.
