Zusammenfassung

The present doctoral tesis presents the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach in the physical education subject as a reality of the current Spanish educational system. Bearing in mind this situation, we attempt to uncover some of the unanswered questions that its implementation generates. We analyse the impact that CLIL has on the main actors of the physical education teaching and learning process: the teachers, the students and the subject. First, we examine the literature related to CLIL, physical education and its overlap. Then, we present the six manuscripts that go to make up this thesis, in coherence with the research objectives pursued. The main aim of this educational research is accomplished since the empirical results and new viewpoints provided will lead toward the improvement of CLIL in physical education.
