Abstract

The present study includes, among other issues, the open inventory, cartography and the study of the geographic context - from an integrating point of view and with an eminently patrimonial and environmental perspective - of the seasonal Mediterranean and cultural wetlands, in the Middle Guadalquivir (South of Spain). In addition to the general characterization of the scope of study, various typologies of seasonal wetland (ponds, lagoons, crip-tohumedales, continental salinas, etc.) are specified and determined, specific and synthesizable characterizations are provided. The conclusions to which this applied research is conducted are based on the work in the cabinet with historical, geographical and remote sensing sources, in addition to the on-site observation of 222 temporary wetlands and 107 salinas, represented as chips in volume II of the thesis memory, and from whose particular characteristics a weighting system is obtained to prioritize protection and restoration actions, as well as a series of proposals to ensure that these habitats of interest are taken into account as or property assets to be conserved.
