Abstract

In our study we have seen several aspects, one of them is the importance that empathy has in its relation to diseases and the clinical advantages of an emotional intervention in medical treatment, especially when they are serious; Professionals have to take into account the importance of emotional intelligence and resilience, especially when faced with aspects such as pain, one of the problems we encounter more and more frequently in our daily work. Method: The bibliographic review has been based mainly on the Virtual Library of the Public Health System “Gerión” and Pubmed although it has been in the latter where we have found practically all the information we have used. We have carried out a search in which we related the word “empathy and state of health” and we have selected some aspects related to the subject to be studied, specifically with suffering and compassion, disease or digital spaces among others. Results: Experiencing adversity situations in the past has traditionally been related to negative results in life, it has also been possible to verify how empathic levels in the different health professionals have been very positive especially in their relationship with the family doctor and the Nurse / and good social and family support. On the other hand, new technologies offer the possibility that more and more people can connect and support each other, in this sense we have seen how empathy is an important component of support between these groups.
