Abstract

This paper aims to highlight the number of different methodologies that some laboratories put into practice when dealing with characterization of noise and assessment of noise from wind farms. We will also put the focus on analyzing the consequences of this large dispersion. Five years ago, the Department of Environmental Affairs of the Andalusian Regional Government was already worried about the special requirements of these studies and that is why a set of recommendations were published [1]. To carry out this research we will address the two parts of the problem: the environmental noise measurement and the development of noise maps.
