La naturaleza, común o profesional, de las contingencias provocadas por la covid-19

Abstract

This paper deals with the treatment, from the point of view of Social Security, of contingencies, essentially temporary disability, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, making a tour of the various and changing emergency regulations that have regulated the issue by establishing either that temporary disabilities should be treated as situations assimilated to an accident at work, as an accident at work in the proper sense, as equivalent to an occupational disease or as an occupational disease in the proper sense. The article goes down to the detail of the requirements and conditions demanded for said qualifications and their value. Throughout the work, but particularly in the final conclusions, the analysis transcends the exceptional nature of the normative treatment contained in the norms dictated by the health emergency to project such considerations towards a situation of normality in which such norms cease to be in force.
