Resumen

The main objective of this Doctoral Thesis is focused on developing a performance profile of the basketball referee during his intervention in the competition, from a physical, technical and psychological demands, which allows the establishment of integral training programs according to the individual needs of each referee depending on the context where he carries out his work. It is about addressing the referee's performance as a whole, but attending to all the variables that affect and influence in referees. Specifically, it aims to give visibility to the importance of establishing training programs according to the needs of the referees based on their refereeing context, which allows developing constant improvement programs and tries to change the perspective of the role that the referee plays in the competition.
