Résumé

The purpose of this article is to develop a practical proposal for training in the inside game in basketball. To do so, previous studies were reviewed which analyzed the competition to detect and describe factors that influence the performance on the inside game in basketball. The whole of these studies enabled a practical proposal to be developed which is organized into three levels according to the objective (increasing inside game options, improving shooting conditions and hindering defensive action to the maximum) and the principles of the game (generating open space and making the most of the advantage, previous actions with and without the ball, undertaking supportive actions on the side away from the ball, simultaneous group actions, etc.). The development of this proposal reflects the need to provide practical applications based on scientific knowledge to resolve issues related to the tactical behavior of basketball players. Tools and resources are offered to contribute to improving the training process and competition in basketball.
