Resum

The basic intention of this doctoral thesis is to show how the concepts of the hermeneutics have a special interest to understand some episodes of the history of the geographical thought. The Tableau of the géographie of the France, published in 1903 and written by Paul Vidal de la Blache, bases on a hermeneutic conception in which the geographer turns into mediator between the meanings of the landscape and the set of the citizens. In order that this mediation fulfills effectively his communicative function, this work is established in a linguistic complex device that has three aims: to transmit the experience of the landscape, to make the forms and landscape structures intelligible and to communicate the diverse meanings that these forms transmit.
