Resumen

The degradation that suffers the metallic objects during the period of burial often covers up the information that contain, impeding its correct interpretation. The layers of corrosion form stratums that deform the original surface, hiding the ornamental details; this situation establishes as requirement, research the systems of cleaning that permit the recovery of the surface morphology in the more precise and harmless way. Among these new techniques of cleaning, the laser is an interesting alternative because we have a new generation of laser, as well as the new way of application, like is the case of the cleaning performed in a bronze ring (Coca, Segovia), whose refined ornamental incised elements were remain hidden low thick oxide and carbonate of copper layers that deformed the surface.
