Zusammenfassung
In both research and the publishing world, the translation of comics remains largely unknown despite the interest it arouses in a number of scholars. This ostracism is due, in part, to the lack of a theory capable of situating the specialization of comic book translation within the framework of translation studies and of explaining the characteristics and extraordinary challenges inherent to this type of translation. This paper does not intend to list all the features and challenges of this translation specialization but rather highlight the most paradigmatic ones: the interaction of codes and prefabricated orality.
