Abstract
Relationship between self-assessed health of parents and their sons are analysed. We pay particular attention to over-weight and obesity problems of children as function of parent’s body mass index and some socioeconomic status variables. To this aim we use several statistic and econometrics tools. The results obtained, from different recent survey data, suggest that in Spain we find evidence of the prevalence of significant intergenerational health mobility mechanisms.
