Abstract

Elie Wiesel is recognized today as one of the most influential intellectuals of the late twentieth century. Teenage survivor of the Shoah, Wiesel has dedicated his life to witness to the very extremity crimes perpetrated by the Third Reich and defend the respect and promotion of Human Rights. In these pages the most significant features of his personality are illustrated, paying special attention to his literature and political activism.
