Resum

The approval of the Andalusian Bicycle Plan (PAB), effective between 2014 and 2020, was a turning point for sustainable mobility in the region, which, in some way at least, was endorsed by the revision of the Infrastructure Plan for Sustainability of Transport in Andalusia, decreed at the end of 2016 (PISTA 2020). Both documents, along with others on a metropolitan and urban scale, are the administrative vectors that have been implemented with a view to the sustainability of Andalusian mobility, in which non- motorized journeys (on foot and by bicycle) increase weight compared to private vehicles. Intermodality is also promoted, if it is possible through public and collective transport, in which the railway becomes a key element, combined, above all, with non- motorized means. Likewise, there is a decided commitment to cycle tourism, as an emerging economic activity that can generate additional income in peripheral rural areas. In this work we try to make an assessment of the transformations that have occurred in this regard in recent years in the Andalusian Community, with its lights, but also with its shadows, as well as a review of the scientific production generated, which is not minor, and in which the geographical discipline, by its own nature, has made significant contributions. This evaluative method leads us to results referring to the situation about the actions carried out, and obviously those not executed, as well as the state of the academic art achieved. The debate and critical reflection will be the axes on which the discussion and conclusions of this study are supported.
