Abstract

In this article, we analyze the 15M movement, "Indignad@s" , from the point of view of its organizational practices based on the community, decentralization and horizontality. Beyond the contextual factors, the precedents and the political discourses which framed the process of protest-building, the literature has not paid attention enough to the organizational products of the mobilization: the Community and Neigh- borhood Assemblies . These assemblies, which exist in the main cities of Andalucía, are community-oriented, horizontal and use grassroots struc- tures, but they face deep problems related to coordination and social inequality. Despite these shortcomings, the 15M assemblies have re-discovered the neighborhood and the community as the space for collective action.
