Abstract

In the excavations in Benicató (Nules) uncovered the remains of a rustic villa associated with a thermal area of Roman periode The works exhumed a large number of rooms, two of them paved with black and white mosaics, dated in the s. II A.D., which were Iifted and suffered several damages over the years. Due to interpretation errors present in the drawings of the mosaics of Felipe Sales, it was necessary a review of these mosaics. Furthermore, the discovery in the Museum of Bellas Artes in Castellón of various sections of one of the mosaics that was destroyed supposed, has opened a new line of research that will help understand the history of these findings.
