Abstract

This article analyses the following legal concepts: criminal mediation, reparation as an accessory consequence of the crime and its use as a third way, and the victim´s forgiveness in the current criminal system. It delves conceptually into the different figures and their criminal and procedural consequences, to finally analyse the introduction of alternative means of conflict resolution in the Victim´s Statute and in the Druft Bill of the Criminal Procedure Act, in accordance with the legislation of the European Union and the United Nations.
