Abstract

The success of migration management policies requires a series of factors protected within the framework of international cooperation, and, especially, the transversal integration of a gender perspective that allows achieving the full inclusion of migrant women. Focusing on the Spanish sphere, this paper presents the results of a content analysis carried out on the main national regulations, programs and projects for the care of migrant women in said country, with the aim of identifying the characteristics of the main measures of a for the integration and inclusion of migrant women that exist at the state level, as well as analyze their gender approach. The results obtained point to a lack of development of the gender perspective in the basic regulation of migration management in Spain. For this reason, it is concluded from this research that the need to continue advancing in improving the care of migrant women in Spanish political strategies continues to be evident, integrating the gender perspective, which means starting from the needs of said women, as well as how to vulnerability, in addition to other proposals such as the extension of the use of non-sexist language in public policies in Spain
