Resum

Mindfulness bursts into the practice of many companies, educational contexts, from the health context, developed in protocols from medicine, psychiatry, psychology and pedagogy from different universities, for specific treatments to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, or necessary issues in such processes as self-pity. However, in this scientific article a conceptual approach is made through scientific documentation, reflections and introspective contributions, referring to mindfulness in professional or work settings. Likewise, it is described how mindfulness corresponds to a theoretical construct, a practice based on meditation and a psychological process that emerges when we understand what mindfulness means and what are the capacities that are developed with its practice.
