Résumé

The latest and recent labor reform produced by Royal Decree-Law 32/2021, of December 28, on urgent measures for labor reform, the guarantee of employment stability and the transformation of the labor market, has fully affected to the contract for training and apprenticeship, which in a clear attempt to reformulate it even modifies its name, renaming it an alternating training contract. The legal novelties that regulate the contract, already incorporated into the Workers’ Statute, seem to have a clear intention to break with relevant legal issues of the previous contract, with the clear purpose of making the training-paid work binomial the definitive formula for inserting the young (and not so young) in the labor market. To do this, it places training at the center of the contract.
