Resumen
This article discusses the configuration process of paramilitary organizations in the service of the Haitian State under the presidency of François and Jean Claude Duvalier. Its objectives by altering the democratic model of the Republic of Haiti and suppress any kind of political opposition, both Presidents structured organizations which, together with the own Haitian Armed Forces and under presidential control ruled the exercise of violence in the country between 1957 and 1986 generating 60,000 direct victims and the massive exile of broad sectors of the population of Haiti.
