In recent years, social networks have become an increasingly popular tool in different facets of people’s daily lives. University teaching is no stranger to this process, even more so when a large majority of students are now part of the so-called digital native generation, which means that they take on these social networks as part of their daily lives. In the specific case of the micro-story, there are different options within social networks. The micro-story allows users to access, disseminate and share information and content through a limited number of characters. This paper reviews the main uses of the micro-story linked to university education
