Resum

The Chilean agrarian reform (1962-1973) brought about a marked transformation of the agrarian structure and land tenure in the country, but unevenly depending on the region. The objective of this work is to contribute to the sequencing of the most significant phases of the Chilean agrarian reform in La Araucanía region and to contextualize the expropriations carried out by the Agrarian Reform Corporation – CORA (in Spanish), using both quantitative and qualitative methods, with special attention, in the latter case, to the memories of expropriated landowners.
