Abstract

As the result of several socioeconomic factors, the Spanish rural complex has been left aside. In this context, far-right agents are using elements from national-Catholicism and cultural racism as a leverage to agglutinate rural votes in their reactionary project. Starting with a diagnosis from the political agroecology approach, it is intended to reflect inwards and outwards agroecological movements, unluckily mainly urban, in order to ensemble with the Spanish rural complex, a complex already stigmatized by a urban society unable to understand it. Beginning with elements such as the absence of agrarian political references or the excessive political leadership focused on urban actions and agroecological alternatives, a few approaching lines are proposed for these movements to avoid the capitalization of an emergent political rural context by far-right agents.
