Abstract
This article is an ttempt to approach the subject of what and how to evaluate . Two basic problems belonging to the educational frame �more precisely to Adult Education� are pointed at. First of all, the necessity of enlarging the range of evaluation; including not only merely instrumental processes of learning, but also a few more such as communicative, discursive and social skills. Second, the need of evaluate all these skills from a different perspective, a process or evolutional perspective which considers not just the actual condition of the mentioned skills, but the possible course they might follow with the flow of time as well. In order to satisfy these needs, the concept of ZPD is assumed as a methodological tool for teaching activities. This would allow for the evaluation of those skills in the continuum social plane-individual plane
